Yes, I know…the “Thursday Diversion” for this week is a day late. I was at a conference in San Diego for the beginning part of this week and simply did not have time since I was catching up. So sue me. I think this is a pretty good one though, so I didn’t want to wait a whole extra week just to post it.

Google’s auto-complete feature can produce some pretty hilarious results, as shown by mkandlez’s diagram above. He used the Web Seer tool to create a pretty nifty visual representation of what people are searching for when it comes to boyfriend/girlfriend advice. Hilarious!
I tried one, using “why do dogs…” vs. “why do cats…” in the search boxes. The most common “complete” phrase was: “lick people”.
Perhaps I’ll just have to Google both and find out.
