You are seeing more and more ‘short codes’ out there - text this word to that code to join this brand’s mobile ‘fan club’. This service will come in handy next time a tsunami (or is it called a “tidal wave” on in the Southeast states?) decides to hit Miami Beach (a la ‘CSI: Miami’). I’d like to know what else ER Texting is using your cell phone number for once you check ER wait times. Perhaps they’ve partnered with a life insurance company to offer the most competitive rates for high-risk cases?
Reblogged from go:
A Miami company called ER Texting lets you send a text message to 4ER411 with your zip code, and it returns a list of “up-to-the-minute” wait times for the nearby emergency rooms.
Can’t think of a better place to injure yourself.
