Have you ever wondered how the Happiest Place on Earth maintains its pristine exterior? I know I have, and this LA Times article confirms my suspicions: there is a “dark side” to Disneyland. An army of clean freaks emerges and invades Disneyland each night to make “The Land” sparkle just like it did on opening day.
Now you, too, can witness the power of the crew that uses their magic each night to bring Disneyland back to its original splendor. Check out the article on LATimes.com and the corresponding slideshow…mouse ears off to the Disneyland cleaning crew! They do a heck of a job each night, and in less time than it would take me to clean my house! (ha ha)
My favorite quote in the article? “Though park officials wouldn’t divulge how much money is spent on Disneyland’s overall upkeep, they said most is spent on the night shift.” Hah…I believe that. It’s because they’re basically repainting the place each night to make it look as though no one had been through the streets the day before. :)
